Thanksgiving is such a great time to remind us of all the wonderful reason to give thanks in our lives. Today Raechelle Bellus is showing us how to make this beautifully designed card, whether you are saying thanks for a gift given or a special friends, hand made cards are just the special way to do it.
Adhere top sheet of patterned paper to orange sheet allowing at least a ¼” border.
With the top patterned paper as your guide, with a pencil lightly mark a dot 1/16” out from the corner using The Perfect Ruler.
Again, using The Perfect Ruler top paper as your guide, move up along each side of the paper and lightly mark a dot with a pencil 1/8”.
I die cut the speech bubbles first out of a white cardstock and then stamped the sentiment using VersaMark pigment ink and heat embossed it using White embossing powder. Then with the help of distress inks I applied inks on each speech bubbles. I used different colors on each one of them.
Then, I used Perfect Tear and the water pen included in the kit to tear the shape out of Navy blue cardstock, using the water pen makes the tearing so much smooth and easy.
To create the background I took a top folding A2 white card base, placed the speech bubbles where I wanted and lightly marked it with pencil. Then with the help of Perfect airbrush I spritzed coordinating inks using my sharpie markers.
The cardstock is flesh adhered to the bottom of the card base. Finally I added few sequins to the card.
I started out by tearing the edge of a few pieces of coordinating paper papers from Doodlebug with the Perfect Tears Tool. You can use the pen in this kit to create a wet edge to make the tearing a little smoother but I like using this tool on the dry paper for a rougher texture.
Once I had all three pieces of the pattern paper torn I adhered them to a Turquoise card base and trimmed off any excess.
Then I die cut a circle from some White card stock and added some color with Distress inks to create a background for my images.
I stamped several images form the RAH sets Friendly Fox , Deerest Friends and Birdhouse onto some White Copic friendly card stock and colored them in with Copics. I cut them with some scissors and added some Black marker around the outer edge for a cleaner look.
I adhered the images to the Circle to create the scene. Then I added some Twine to the front of the card and the image circle with some Foam tape.
I stamped the sentiments from the Simple Sentiments set and trimmed them out with my scissors and adhered them over the edge of the Circle to create a custom sentiment.
I started out by embossing the Flowers from the RAH Abstract Florals set onto some Watercolor paper with White Embossing powder. Then I added some Distress ink in Picked Raspberry, Wild Honey and Spiced Marmalade with a brush and water.
Once the background was dry I added some more images from the set with VersaFine Black Onyx ink.
I used the Beautiful die cut from My Favorite Things and die cut four from some white card stock and stacked them together with liquid glue and adhered them to the front of the card.
I stamped the sentiment from the Right At Home Simple Sentiments set onto some black card stock and heat embossed it in white and trimmed it into a Banner and added it just above the Beautiful Sentiment.
