Raechelle Bellus is here tonight creating a fun layout for us to show one of the many ways to honor our moms! We love our moms and it is so special when there are times you can capture a memory together and save it for generations to come!
Patterned Paper: October Afternoon and My Mind’s Eye
Sequins: Craftin Desert Diva’s
Stickers: Pink Paislee
Machine stitching, foam, and white cardstock.
Cut two strips of polka dot paper; one 5/8” x 12” (adhere to right edge of base paper) and the other to 1.75” x 12” (adhere this strip to left side of base paper)
Fussy cut circle doilies and flower sprays from patterned papers. Adhere circle doilies randomly on paper. Place one of the floral sprays slightly underneath border on right side of layout. Keep the side along the edge flat and use some foam to pop the rest up for dimension.
Place the Perfect Tears- Perfect Wave Tool– using the Large Wave Edge along bottom edge of the long area on the backside of striped patterned paper. Press down on edge with one hand, while tearing paper upward toward you. Be sure to hold tool down firmly and pull with a bit of force to get a clean cut.
Adhere this strip atop of polka dot paper on right side. My strip is about 1- 1/8” x 12”.
Add machine stitching along both inside edges of paper strips on both sides.
Add other two floral sprays using foam for some dimension.
Print template and lightly adhere to patterned paper.
Place the Perfect Cutting Mat underneath desired cutting area. Using the Perfect Ruler, trim around all edges of template.
Using the Perfect Layers Mini 1/16” trim around patterned paper around “V” notches extending lines to allow additional cutting around other edges.
Using the Perfect Layers Mini 3/8” trim around four long edges that form the top of basket. Punch holes in corner for future attachment.
Using the Perfect Tears- Perfect Wave Tool- Large Wave Edge create a center handle piece (8” long x approx.. 1.25” wide)
Adhere this strip onto an 8” strip of patterned paper and using the Perfect Layers Mini 3/16” trim along both sides of wave edge. Adhere ribbon to center of wave edge strip.
Attach one end of handle to center of one edge of flat basket.
Add lace trim to this side along with the two touching sides and allow to dry. Once dry, put basket together by knotting the corners with a small piece of twine. Attach remaining edge of handle to remaining side, add lace, and let dry.
Add one small pearl to back handle of basket and decorate the front with flowers, a bow and punched butterflies.
Trim a piece of patterned paper to 3.5” x5”. Create a wave edge along the bottom with the Using the Perfect Tears- Perfect Wave Tool- Large Wave Edge. Adhere to card base, top and center. Add a 3.5”x.75” strip of paper directly underneath main patterned paper base.
Cut a 2.75” square and adhere to coordinating patterned paper. Using the Perfect Layers Mini 1/8” trim around square. Adhere to center of pp base. Add lace and fussy cut flowers.
Add bunny (I drew her on the back of cardstock, cut out, and then added eyes, a nose and pink cheeks and shading using watercolors to the right side. For the interior of the ears I traced the backside of each ear and then freehand cut them to fit insde). You can use a sticker or chipboard piece if you have one, but making my own piece was simple and took less than five minutes.
Using foam dots, add bunny to card. Adhere small twine bow and flowers.
Add sentiment, bow, and pearls to finish off the card.
Wow what a stunning project by Raechelle, this would be the perfect Easter gift, if you have a go at this project please share with us your Easter Baskets on our Facebook page.
Hello friends, its Chitra here; I am sharing a set of Floral Thank You card with you all today. To create this card:
Take white A2 cardstock and cover the front panel with a foiled cardstock from DCWV.
Then take Crafters Companion white cardstock and position as desired on the card, as the panel is wonky use the Perfect Ruler and craft knife to cut out the panel.
Stamp the flowers and color it using Copics on the bottom right of the panel.
The white panel is layered on a glittered cardstock from DCWV using ¼” –inch using perfect layers and craft knife.
The sentiment is stamped using black ink.
Add glitter to all the flowers and white liquid pearl on the blue flower.
Here is a close up: Hope you like my card, thanks for stopping by!!
Have a great day!
Stamps: Clearly Besotted Stamps Miniature Florals, Simon Says Stamp Thanks
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Paper: DCWV (The Cardstock Stack), DCWV (The Luxe Suite Stack), Crafters Companion Ultra Smooth White Cardstock, Recollections 110lb White Cardstock. Other: Copics, Perfect Layers Mini with Cutting Mat, Perfect Ruler, Clear Wink of Stella.
Who can resist the Bird Crazy Bandwagon? I had to have them. I’m hoping for some Crazy Cats and Crazy Dogs next! I used a Gelli Print background that I had in my stash instead of printed paper. My big eyed bird is colored up with Copic Markers and the same for the sentiment strips.
You don’t have to get crazy with layers…. just a few extra layers makes this card pop! Simple 1/16″ and 1/8″ layers are made SO easy with Perfect Layer Rulers! You can see that the extra line between the alphabet and the bird really gives it a lot of definition and separates the two panels. The Mini Rulers are definitely a tool favorite for me.
On the inside… a little extra 1/8″ edge above my alphabet panel helps me use up scraps and bring all the colors to the inside finishing it off! Finished card is an A2.
